Dr. Folberg graduated at the top of his class, with highest honors and distinction – earning the Latin honors of summa cum laude – with his Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Saint Leo University, where he also earned his Master of Business Administration degree in Management. He subsequently earned his Doctor of Education degree in Leadership, where he specialized in organizational leadership and professional development.
As a Certified Public Accountant, Dr. Folberg is widely regarded for having met rigorous educational requirements — and for his training in business and knowledge of general law and taxation. With this extensive knowledge, as well as his growth mindset, Dr. Folberg continues his professional education. He dedicates over 40 hours annually to continuing professional education in tax and accounting matters; he is also a JD Candidate — class of ‘27.
Dr. Folberg is a professional member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. He was also granted the designation of Chartered Global Management Accountant by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and the AICPA. Dr. Folberg is currently licensed as a CPA in Florida, Maryland, and Virginia.
Dr. Folberg involves himself closely with his clients, engaging in business and income tax planning, cultivating friendships, and using his knowledge and expertise to make significant contributions to their long-term success. Dr. Folberg’s achievements have been rightfully acknowledged by others, earning him numerous honors and testimonials.
Prior to his tenure with CPA Tax Adviser, PLLC, Dr. Folberg worked as a Senior Accountant for several regional CPA firms. He also served as Assistant Finance Director for the City of Port Richey. In addition, Dr. Folberg has taught various courses as an adjunct instructor at Pasco-Hernando State College in Brooksville, Florida and Husson University in Bangor, Maine; he has also served as a graduate research and teaching assistant.
Dr. Folberg likes to spend his leisure time with his daughter, visiting amusement parks, riding his motorcycle, and exercising.
